Robert Plant (age 73) is frequently questioned about when he plans to stop working. Fans and the media have been curious about Plant’s plans for the future, and he has been asked directly by both groups.
The former Led Zeppelin singer simply cannot wrap his head around this.
I’d hear, ‘Well, you must have done enough now,’ and it would hurt.” plant told the Telegraph in a recent interview. “Whatever it is, I’ve had enough of it.
“Enough to retire!” The blessing of being 40 years further along has not changed the fact that I still don’t know enough to stop. You may always expand your knowledge and take your skills in a different direction. In a word: yes.
For Plant, making a living as a musician is a “lifetime’s profession” that gives him the same satisfaction now as it did when he first discovered rock and roll.
Plant has gone on to release more solo albums than any other ex-Led Zeppelin member and will be touring with bluegrass superstar Alison Krauss in 2019.

Plant, known for his powerful lead vocals, was given the opportunity to work in a completely new style on this collection of songs, much like on their first joint LP, Raising Sand, released in 2007.
“He compared it to attending classes at night. I’m still getting my head around all the harmonic bending possibilities. “It’s almost like a vocal jigsaw puzzle when I join in,” I said.

Krauss, who was exposed to blended and unified vocals from an early age, is largely responsible for that schooling.

Even though Plant is 22 years older than Krauss, he treated the recording session with him as if he were a pupil.

Plant doesn’t plan to retire anytime soon because he has so much more to learn. “Two generations on, I still have a foot on the pedal,” he admitted. “I haven’t stopped moving forward yet. A crazed individual has that right!”
