Will There Be A Season 12 of Shameless

Shameless, airing on Showtime, has been going strong for a decade and a half, spanning 11 full seasons.

Frank Gallagher is the proud single parent of six intelligent, hardworking, and self-reliant children whose lives have been complicated by their alcoholic father.

Frank spends what little money they have on alcohol and sleeps on the floor when he’s not there. Fiona, the eldest daughter, has helped the other children mature despite their difficult circumstances. They aren’t trying to be anyone else’s family and they’re perfectly fine with that.

John Wells created the comedy-drama that aired on Showtime for a record-breaking 11 seasons.

The premiere date for Season 11 was set for December 2020, and the announcement came in January 2020. On April 11 of that year (2021), the final episode of the season and the series aired.

It has been confirmed by Showtime that this will be the last season of the popular series. Fans were holding out hope that, despite the show’s poor ratings, it would be renewed for a second season. What we do know about potential future Shameless episodes is as follows.

The eleventh season of Shameless was promoted as the series’ final instalment when it was first announced. According to the show’s official synopsis: “The Gallaghers are going out with a bang, so to speak.

Although they all recognise that upcoming changes will require them to mature and take on greater responsibilities or find new opportunities elsewhere, they also share a fundamental understanding: Gallaghers may mature, but they will never separate.”

Showtime has opted to air a six-part limited series titled Shameless Hall of Shame in place of season 12. Season 11 will feature a look back at seasons past. It combines a look back at each character’s arc with brand new, never-before-seen Shameless sequences. It worked wonderfully as a final bow for the entire series.

Showtime’s president of entertainment, Gary Levine, made the announcement that the final season of Shameless would air on the network, and he claimed that the characters have given viewers more laughter, tears, and pure happiness than any programme in the network’s history.

11 seasons is a big round number, and we didn’t want to commit to that. We really thought the time had come, and we loved the concept of giving John and company an opportunity for a good landing.

The show’s popularity during its existence ensures that ideas for spin-offs based on its unique cast members will be considered in the future. However, Wells, the showrunner, recently told The Hollywood Reporter that there are currently no plans for more episodes.

When Will Season 12 of “Shameless” Come Out?

The eleventh season of ‘Shameless’ premiered on Showtime on December 6, 2020, and the series finale will show on Showtime on April 11, 2021.

On October 11, 2021, you’ll be able to watch the whole season on Netflix. It is the longest season ever, with episodes ranging from 45 to 59 minutes in duration.
