Birth Details

In New Orleans, Louisiana, John was born on the 4th of October in the year of 1967. Growing up, he enjoyed going fishing with his family, watching the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, listening to music, and playing the drums. When he eventually got the engine to start in his first automobile, a Ford Falcon, he was very elated. He began his racing career with that race.

As a percussionist in the marching band at Rummel High School, he graduated from there. As a drummer in a punk rock band, John shared such skills. LSU at New Orleans sparked John’s lifelong devotion to the university. In 1987, he and his family moved to Texas, where he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Texas, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Production Operations Management.

Girlfriend, Wife and Kids

In Texas, John got a job with Atlantic Southeast Airlines and met Leslie on a blind date after making some fantastic acquaintances. When they’d been seeing each other for just six months, John proposed, and they were married two years later, in May 1993. He began working for Solo Cup in Dallas after completing his undergraduate studies at UNT (now Dart Container). Even though he took a few breaks to focus on other projects, he eventually returned and worked for them for more than two decades.

As a Scout leader, John was able to spend time with his son Jacob on numerous campouts, the most memorable of which was an overnight stay on the USS Texas. His children’s schools had a variety of service opportunities for John. At the elementary school, he was a “Watch Dog Dad,” and at the high school, he was a member of the Athletic Booster Club. On occasions like the Turkey Trot with Carly, he was more than eager to join in the fun.

Friends And Family

You could always count on John to give you anything he had to give no matter how much he didn’t have himself. Even if you were furious with him, he could still make you chuckle. We shall miss him greatly, but we look forward to the day when we can see him again and appreciate the memories we have of him. His numerous friends and family are there to support us in our time of grief.
