When is Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers Coming Out

Almost a year after the first season of Tokyo Revengers concluded, we finally have a release date for the second season. Season one of the anime debuted in April 2021 and became a hit with audiences until its conclusion in September of the same year.

Due to the show’s overwhelming popularity, it was renewed for a second season in December, only three months after its premiere.

In the time since, however, neither the premiere date nor the status of Season 2 has been announced. Well, that’s no longer the case, as the premiere month has been confirmed and the official trailer and poster have been published.

A Release Date for Season 2 of “Tokyo Revengers”

The second season of Tokyo Revengers will air in Japan in the first month of 2023. However. Developers have been mum on the specific date. There have been rumours that the anime will return on either January 1 or 8, 2023, both Sundays. Crunchyroll is planning to simulcast the forthcoming season for overseas fans.

It is still unknown how many episodes will be included in Season 2. Season one of the show spanned 24 episodes over two seasons. The same is true for the upcoming second season.

Release of the Season 2 Trailer and Poster for Tokyo Revengers

Takemichi, Hinata, Naoto, Mikey, and Draken, among other fan favourites, appear in the next season’s official teaser and poster. The Shiba siblings Taiju and Yuzuha are introduced in the visual as well.

Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers will focus on the Black Dragon Arc, sometimes referred to as the Christmas Showdown Arc. Takemichi Hanagaki’s season-long effort to make amends for his past actions and create a brighter future for himself and his loved ones will continue.

However, the trip would not be without peril, as he would have to face off against the Black Dragon gang’s leader, Taiju Shiba. Kisaki Tetta plans to profit off of the conflict between the Tokyo Manji and the Black Dragon gang. The time has come to find out whether Takemichi can alter his past actions or if he will repeat his mistakes.

According to Crunchyroll, the official synopsis goes as follows: “Takemichi Hanagaki is a freelancer who has reached the ultimate pits of despair in his life. He learns that his one and only middle school sweetheart, Hinata Tachibana, was brutally murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang.

A mob of people pushes him off the station platform and into the rails the day after he learns of her death. Thinking he’s dying, he closes his eyes; when he opens them again, he finds himself 12 years in the past. The next part of the text reads, “Now that he’s returned to living the best days of his life, Takemichi intends to get revenge on his life.”
