Republicans Have Only Themselves To Blame For Madison Cawthorn

After days of Republican outrage over his comments on a podcast alleging that his fellow lawmakers were taking drugs and inviting him to sex parties, Rep. Madison Cawthorn, R-N.C., finally spoke out on Friday.

In a long statement, however, Cawthorn made an effort to disassociate himself from his own remarks by asserting that the media and Democrats were the ones who fabricated the claims about cocaine use and orgies.
