Just Who is Notorious Killer Mark Sievers?
Mark Sievers, the husband of Dr. Teresa Sievers, was born in Missouri that same year. The couple also welcomed two beautiful daughters into the world. The pair managed Teresa’s clinic. Once-happy Teresa Sievers’ family fell apart after hearing the news of her brutal murder.
When Teresa didn’t show up to work, Mark asked a friend to see if she was okay; that’s when they found her dead.
At first, it seemed like the two murderers had been apprehended. Their names were Curtis Wayne Wright and Jimmy Ray Rodgers.
After more clues pointed to Sievers’ involvement in a murder-for-hire scheme, officials began to accuse him of colluding with them.
The Brutal Killing of Teresa Sievers
Teresa Sievers was an alternative medicine expert hailing from Bonita Springs, Florida.
After finishing medical school in Dominica, Teresa moved on to complete her residency at the University of Florida in 1996. A local women’s magazine profiled her just days before her unexpected death on June 28, 2015.
After a vacation with her husband and two children, Teresa was reportedly last seen at the Southwest Florida International Airport on her way back to work. However, Sievers did not visit her doctor the following day.
On June 28, 2015, Mark Sievers asked a friend and neighbour to see how she was doing. The neighbour discovered her lifeless body on the kitchen floor, where she had been struck repeatedly with a hammer.

Two weeks into the investigation into her murder, a major breakthrough happened. Career criminal and murderer Curtis Wayne Wright admitted to the crime, according to a source in Missouri. The police initially looked into Wright, but soon broadened their suspect pool to include hardened criminal Jimmy Ray Rodgers.
According to Wright’s testimony, Mark Sievers hired the aforementioned guys to kill his wife because he was having marital issues and was frightened about losing custody of his two girls. Mark’s private journal gave the impression that the seemingly pleasant family life was an act. It told of the difficulties of her marriage.
Mark dated the entry in his journal, “She said sometimes, most of the time, she does not feel we are going to make it,” to June 25, 2015. Mark’s Guilty Plea for Murder:
Mark murdered his wife, Teresa, because he was afraid he would lose custody of their two children if she left him. That’s why he decided to kill his beautiful wife. When evidence against Mark Sievers began to pile up, authorities weren’t shocked.
It seemed like Sievers was exaggerating his pain during the entire interview. Lieutenant David Lebid remarked, “We’ve met a lot of people who have lost a loved one, and he seemed disingenuous.” I saw a lot of phoney praise. Not believable, it seemed.
Wright’s testimony was crucial to the resolution of this case. Mark Sievers was arrested and had to give up custody of his two young daughters a few months after the incident took place. Mark’s attorney argued that the major prosecution witness, Wright, was a killer who had lied to the police.
Yet, at Sievers’ trial, the prosecution introduced new evidence. Burner phones, or temporary cell phones, were used for communication between Sievers and Wright; on the day of Dr. Sievers’ death, Wright’s phone had beeped near the Sievers’ home.
Curtis Wayne Wright was granted a 25-year prison term, and Jimmy Ray Rodgers received a life sentence. Wayne, who also served as a public witness, identified the mastermind as Teresa’s husband.
The jury deliberated for only four hours before finding Sievers guilty of first-degree murder and conspiracy to murder, based on the prosecution’s account of events.
