The tour will include Simone Biles, the most decorated gymnast of all time, in a high-energy, gymnastics-meets-pop-concert extravaganza.
The programme will feature an all-star team of female gymnastic champions sharing messages of empowerment and solidarity to encourage the next generation of athletes, and Athleta, a renowned women’s performance lifestyle brand, is the title sponsor of the show.
Starting in Tucson in September, the 35-city tour will include stops in cities including Denver, Los Angeles, Anaheim, Houston, Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Newark, and Brooklyn on its way to Boston. Biles will be joined by the likes of Dancing With the Stars champion Laurie Hernandez, who won gold and silver in Rio in 2016, and All-American, NCAA National Champion, and viral video sensation Katelyn Ohashi; Morgan Hurd, who won three gold medals in 2019 and 2020 at the Tokyo World Cup; Peng-Peng Lee, who won the NCAA national championship for UCLA in 2018 with a perfect score of 10 on each event; Danusia Francis, who qualified Jamaica for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics; and In the upcoming months, we will be announcing other gymnasts.
Each gymnast on the Athleta Presents Gold Over America Tour will showcase a portion of their most well-known routine while surrounded by dazzling LED video screens and lights, as well as career highlight and personal movies, social media interactions, spoken word, and a crew of gymnastic dancers.
These ladies aren’t just the best of the best in their respective sports; they’re also an incredible role model for young women everywhere. The performance is a reflection of their commitment to issues like female empowerment, friendship, healthy body image, understanding of mental health, and self-assurance.
