Apple’s TV Faces Its Biggest Test

The Apple TV was recently launched by Apple. To date, it was on a test trial period where it was provided for free to the users so that they could attract customers as well as make sure that they are getting proper feedback from the users. Apple TV+ costs $4.99 per month. It’s also bundled with other Apple services like Music and iCloud in packages called Apple One starting at $14.95 per month. But a lot of subscribers aren’t paying.

A number of free subscription was given by Apple to launch this new product off the ground. From September 2019, anyone who bought any of the Apple products got one year of the Apple TV for free.  They renewed the service 2 times because of the pandemic situation.

But now Apple is starting to ask for payment of a particular fee if you want to continue to watch Apple TV. From July 1, the people who buy any Apple product will get only 3 months of free subscription to Apple TV. It won’t be for 1 year anymore.

So this is a very critical point in terms of the matter for Apple. Whether the consumers will choose to pay and stay or will they choose to leave and not use the Apple TV service anymore. We are sure that there is going to be both kinds of people out there in the mix.

“For newer or smaller services, partnerships and promotions are an invaluable customer acquisition tool,” Cason said. “A large percentage of folks follow through, they truly love the service and continue it. Or they forget they gave the service their credit card.”
